New Study: Weight Loss Pills Don’t Work.

According to a recent study published in the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism, weight loss supplements make up a $2.4 billion industry in the United States - and yet not a single one of those supplements has been proven effective.

A lot of people are looking for a magic pill that results in fat loss and muscle gain. And when you read the labels of weight loss supplements, they all sound very promising. Many of them even cite so-called research and data to back up their claims. But when this data is scrutinized by third-party researchers like Melinda Manore, who led the aforementioned study, it all falls apart.

According to Manore:

For most people, unless you alter your diet and get daily exercise, no supplement is going to have a big impact… What people want is to lose weight and maintain or increase lean tissue mass. There is no evidence that any one supplement does this. And some have side effects ranging from the unpleasant, such as bloating and gas, to very serious issues such as strokes and heart problems.

In other words, there’s no weight loss shortcut and some of these supplements do much more harm than good. Losing weight requires a combination of proper nutrition, exercise and personal growth - none of which you’ll get from a diet pill. It takes time, energy and effort.

If you want to transform your body with lasting weight loss, I recommend The Davey Wavey Weight Loss Program. And if you’ve ever tried a diet pill, please share your thoughts in the comments below. Did it work? Would you recommend it to others?

  1. I had some success with Decatrim, which is loaded with caffeine and cayenne pepper mostly. Creating a dual diaphoretic and diuretic with helps with eliminating waste and excess water. Gave me some major energy boosts as well and I enjoyed the boost before my workouts and on long work days. However, if you’re sensitive at all to caffeine, it’s like introducing 1.5 cups of very strong coffee into your system all at once and may give you the jitters. I wouldn’t recommend this to everyone but it was effective for me for many reasons.

  2. I’ve got to disagree.

Supplementation can have a profound impact on weight loss progress.

If your goal is to reduce your weight, a good supplement can control your appetite and increase your energy level - which ultimately goes a long way towards creating a caloric deficit which determines if you gain or lose weight.

  3. Well not really pills. Supplements and narcotics aren’t the same. Alli works by reducing fat absortion, but if you aren’t consuming a tiny amount of fat to begin with you basically end up with a bunch of complications.

And if you’re having that little fat in your diet it’s unlikely you need the pill. Too much fat…. you’ll be too sick to do cardio.

  4. Contrary to this, can you say if any weight GAIN supplements actually work?

i think these findings support what should be known.diet pills dont work.possibly with an ongoing diet and exercise programme.maybe in the short-term.and when backing off these diet pills-one must need to regulate.but a diet pill solely-nope-just another fad.and then a yo-yo effect could happen.

First of all i think it’s important to understand why someone looked into the product and relate to why they started taking such a pill in the first place to see if you can relate.

For me, it was during the summer and my stomach was very bloated for days. I knew i was going to be spending a lot of time in a bathing suit and didn’t want to have a huge stomach or have someone ask me if I was pregnant. I’m not “regular” when it comes to going to the bathroom so I figured a cleanse would be a good place to start. If I lost weight along the way, that’s just an added bonus.

I started taking the Dr max Powers 15 Day Cleanse.

The first 2 days I went to the bathroom at least 1x a day. I don’t know if what I did was right, but I followed the directions on the bottle, stuck with my same diet which isn’t so healthy and didn’t exercise.

I”m very pleased with the Dr max Powers 15 Day Cleanse. It feels a lot better than a laxitive because there are no sudden runs to the bathroom. It is safe and natural. I am drinking more water than I use to and honestly have more energy.

HOpe my review helps you decide whether or not youre going to try this product. Once again, as I mentioned, I”m sure everyone’s experience will be different and it’s important to listen to the reviews that relate to your experience. Good luck.

  7. I had to write my experience since it was just a pure waste of money and time… I was a couple of pounds overweight about 15..
And I orders slimweightpatch attracted by its 90 day MONEY back guarantee… Well guys it’s all a scam these websites don’t even hav a contact number or anything
So web I contacted them thru their form system I never got a rey and wasted about 60 quids.
Similarly I orders a acai berry and same thing happened so it’s best to stay away from such scams.

  8. phenibut is derived from GABA that crosses the blood brain barrier. Its mean it is more effective than GABA. Actually I have had better experience of phenibut than GABA as it is more powerful.
